I am looking for a small cement mixer to mount on the back of my Kubota B1750. I had an 8 cu.ft. model spec'ed out at Tractor Supply for $599, then found out from the store manager that the manufacturer had quit making them. They could still find some, but I am affraid I won't be able to get parts later on.Thus, I seek the wisdom of the web to help me. Can anyone recommend a brand of cement mixer for my B1705? Does anyone have any experience as to how big is too big for the B1750? What should I expect to pay? Thanks in advance!

Just wondering why mix your own? Do you use that much concrete to justify the expense? I buy ready mixed. I would imaging you would get a more consistant (strength) product for not much difference in cost. You can then use the tractor and loader to transport it to that "difficult to reach spot". One of the local plants will deliver "any time, any where, any amount". Its a great convenience to be able to pour on Saturday (must call early in the wekk to schedule it though). Just my $.02 ....

I happen to live a far distance from a town with concrete service and unless I have a large order, the extra delivery charges tend to hurt. But that is not the reason I would be interested in on. There is a lot more that can be mixed than just concrete. When building a rock wall or forming the overflow for my pond, the rate at which I use cement is fairly slow. You can't keep a cement truck idle for that long.So if anyone learns of a good deal on a mixer, I would like to know also. ....
